Organising your own holiday is easy when staying at the Zum Turm Hotel in Castelrotto –South Tyrol. Just minutes away is the largest high mountain pasture in Europe: the Alpe di Siusi, as well as the adjacent Sciliar mountain area (1,800 – 2,200 m elevation).

Car-Free Holidays
Our hotel is just 150 m away from the Castelrotto bus station, from where shuttle buses depart every 15 min, taking just 7 min to reach the lower Alpe di Siusi cableway station. The comfortable, modern gondolas conveniently take you right up to the Alpe di Siusi.

Hiking
The Sciliar area and the Alpe di Siusi mountain pasture offer hikers and mountain lovers everything they could possibly desire: hiking trails totalling 300 km and no less than 365 mountain huts, most of which offer homemade food and a place to rest. Alpe di Siusi hiking area

Skiing

From our cosy Alpine hotel with the most amazing view of the Dolomites, it is only 11 km to the Alpe di Siusi ski carousel (the largest high mountain pasture in Europe), 8 km to the Trostburg Castle and 13 km to the Sciliar mountain area. Right behind us, is the start of a great hiking trail that leads above Castelrotto – offering unforgettable panoramic views.
